Creating a video from your slideshow
To create a video from your
slideshow, left click the 'Create my video' button.
PhotoVidShow then shows the 'Author video wizard'
window.
PhotoVidShow will
create a mpeg4 (.mp4) H.264 video file from your slideshow.
To change the
location of this file from the default setting, select the '…'
button on the right.
Resolution.
Select the resolution you wish
the output video to be. The resolutions available will
depend on which output aspect ratio is set for your project (e.g.
Widescreen or Standard). For widescreen options, PhotoVidShow will
also show a comment next to the resolution suggestion what type of
device the resolution is best suited for e.g. 854 x 480 Widescreen
(Web/Mobile)
For playback on a
computer or TV it is best to select the 1080p or 720p HD
options.
Quality.
The quality setting has 3
options:- Good, High and Maximum. As a general rule each
option will produce a file twice the size than the previous. e.g.
'High' quality will produce a file twice the size of a 'Good'
setting.
For a video which
will be streamed off the web, it is best to select 'Good'.
For a video which
will be played back on a computer, it is best to select
'High'.
Frame rate.
PhotoVidShow will also allow you
to set the frame rate of the output video. In general you
want to leave this at 30fps.
For a video which
will be played back on a computer then 60fps is an option for even
smoother visuals.
For a video which
will be streamed off the web and if size is an issue, or if very
little motion happens in your slideshow, then you can reduce the
frame rate.
Create.
Once you are happy with the settings, left click the
'Create video'
button. This will then encode your project. For larger resolutions,
this may take a while. After your video has been created,
PhotoVidShow will ask if you wish to play it or open it's file
location.
